The Literacy Institute is a research and publication institution that was founded in Kendari City, Indonesia on April 8, 2016. This institution is based on Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution, and is independent.

The Literacy Institute has three (3) basic objectives, namely: (1) Developing scientific traditions in various aspects of life, especially in the process of making development policies; (2) Build public and individual literacy characters through writing and bookkeeping activities; (3) Establishing cooperative relationships with various partners, both government and non-government agencies.

To achieve these goals, the Literacy Institute carries out the following activities: (1) Organizing scientific activities in the form of studies, research, surveys, polls, workshops, seminars, trainings, conferences, and scientific exhibitions; (2) Disseminating the results of scientific activities and other information related to science and regional development in the form of Book Publishing, Journals, Magazines, Brochures, Proceedings, and Book Distribution; (3) Cooperating with the community, government agencies and non-government organizations.
